WELL DONE TO THE IRISH MIXED FORESOMES PLAYED NEWBRIDGE  THEY WON 2 GAMES AT HOME AND 1 AWAY VERY CLOSELY CONTESTED MATCHES WELL DONE TO =   MAEVE MCEVOY/ANTHONY HEFFERNAN,       MARY KEHOE/CON DONOVAN, PAM BLANCHE/DONAL WALSHE, MEABH DOYLE/PAT KITSON. LADIES CHALLENGE CUP ON SAT IN THE HEATH  AGAINST ATHY. THE WEATHER WAS VERY COLD AND WINDY BUT THE LADIES  PLAYED VERY WELL IN CLOSE CONTESTED MATCHES  TO WIN 3-2. WELL DONE TO MARION PHELAN, AGNES HOLLAND, MARIE BYRON, SARAH HUTCHINSON, CHRISTINE COLLIER  = MANAGER RITA SHEEDY

MONDAY 1^ST MAY THE MINOR LEAGUE CUP IN THE HERITAGE PORT PLAYED THE HEATH IN BRILLIANT SUNSHINE AND CAME AWAY WITH A 3-2 WIN MATCHES WERE CLOSELY CONTESTED WITH SARAH HICKEY SEALING THE WIN ON THE 18^TH HOLE AFTER A TOUGH MATCH AND IN FRONT OF VERY ANXIOUS SPECTATORS. WELL DONE TO THE PLAYERS  – MAURA O’DONOGHUE, CADDY MARY CANNON.      JEAN GORDON CADDY MARGO WHELAN,      MARY FOY CADDY MARY KEHOE, HELEN WALSHE CADDY CHRISTINE COLLIER,                SARAH HICKEY CADDY CHRIS HICKEY. Away – Joan Bennett/ Mary Keogh were narrowly beaten Maura O’Donoghue/ Aine Moore had a very good win
Home – Maeve McEvoy/ Celeste Sweetman were heading down the 19th when the result of the other two matches were recieved Nora Purcell /Sarah Hickey won on 15th and Rita Sheedy/Dolores Murphy won on the 17th .
